1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Actually the parents of the minor victim girl were pressuring to end the relationship between the petitioner and the alleged victim.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She points to the statements of witnesses and to the medical report which shows that before a doctor, the petitioner was mentioned as the husband of the victim. While the victim was aged about 16 years, the petitioner was 26 years old. It appears from the statements of witnesses that after the two entered into a relationship, the petitioner was about to marry someone else.

3. Considering the serious nature of allegations, the materials available in the case diary and the fact that the victim was only 16 years old, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.

5. The presence of the Investigating Officer is noted and is dispensed with.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
