The petitioner prays for transfer from her present posting as a school teacher to another school nearer to her house on the ground of her own illness and also on the ground of a baby girl of three years and for this reason, she filed one representation on 08.02.2021 with the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal. I have perused the said representation and I direct the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal, to consider the case of the petitioner for transfer specially on the ground of a child of three years only who needs to be looked after by her mother and it is not that transfers are

not done or given to school teachers and giving transfer is a policy of the State for appropriate reasons. Therefore, I direct the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal, to consider the representation, which is pending since 08.02.2021, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. This hearing is to be done by four weeks from date and a reasoned and speaking order is to be passed by two weeks thereafter and the order should be communicated to the petitioner immediately on passing of the order.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
