22.12.2023 Item No. 5 Crt.No.22 b.r WPA 21085 of 2014 CAN 1 of 2023 Dipankar Paul -vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Soumak Bera .... For the petitioner.

Ms. Tapati Samanta Mr. Arindam Ghosh .... For the State.

In Re: CAN 1 of 2023 This is an application filed by the petitioner for a formal correction in the order dated November 20, 2023.

By the said order though the writ petition stood disposed of by this Court but to make the order operative a formal correction is required after the formation of Jhargram as independent District. When the writ petition was disposed of, this was never pointed out to this Court on behalf of the petitioner. However, for the ends of justice and to make the order dated November 20, 2023 operative and functional in place of respondent no.3 where ever it appears in the order dated November 20, 2023, the same shall be read and understood as the

jurisdictional District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Jhargram.

Consequently, the time frame stood further modified by granting a further time of six weeks for disposal of the representation of the petitioner to be submitted.

In the event, the petitioner shall submits its representation within a period of two weeks from today then the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Jhargram shall carry out the consequential steps as directed in the order dated November 20, 2023 in the manner as directed therein.

Only to the above extent, the order dated November 20, 2023 stands modified and not beyond that and the rest portion of the order remains unaltered and without any modification.

With the above observation, CAN 1 of 2023 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs. (Aniruddha Roy, J.)
