The petitioner had participated in the 2006 selection process initiated by the District Primary School Council, 24-Parganas (South) for recruitment of Assistant Teachers in the primary schools of the said district. The said selection process was finalized in the year 2010 and the petitioner was found to be eligible for appointment but he was appointed in the year 2014.

The petitioner is praying service benefits notionally from the date of his empanelment but without any financial benefit.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal with his such prayer and if such approach is made, the said Authority is directed to consider the same in accordance with law.

WPA 22131 of 2024 is disposed with the above terms without any order as to costs.
