Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. Petitioner complains that he has been subjected to torture by the private respondent nos.7 and 8 and consequently he has been thrown out of the house.

The police report reflects that the petitioner is residing along with the private respondent nos. 7 and 8 at Jagadishpur Daspara within Liluah Police Station. Report also reflects that Liluah P.S. Case No.

of has been registered for investigation on 13.09.2025 under the relevant provisions of BNS and the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

Having considered that the police authorities have accepted the fact that the petitioner is staying at his residence, in case they find that the

petitioner and his wife have been thrown away from the residence, in that that case they will ensure that the petitioner and his wife may be allowed to stay at the residence.

It is categorically stated that this is not a direction for throwing away the respondent nos. 7 and 8 and police authorities will not interfere with the respondent nos. 7 and 8 in any manner.

However, the police authorities would see that since the petitioner is a senior citizen, in case any information is furnished that he is subjected to torture or unwanted interference or any inconvenience by the inmates of the home, in that case steps be taken.

Since there is already a direction passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Howrah on 19.06.2025, police authorities would comply with the said order ensuring breach of the peace and tranquility.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 21696 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
