1. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, in his usual fairness, submits that pursuant to the order dated 27th September, 2024, the petitioner could enter into his house with the assistance of the police authorities.

2. The Officer-in-Charge, Galsi Police Station has filed a report dated 30th September, 2024 stating that the petitioner along with his wife entered into his house in the presence of the police personnel without any hazard and the petitioner has also submitted a written declaration to that effect. Let such report be kept on record.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the police authorities have not taken any step pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner by a letter dated 8th August, 2024.

4. Since the complaint has been lodged, it is the duty of the police authorities to take steps in accordance with law.

5. If the complaint of the petitioner discloses a cognizable offence, the respondent/police authorities shall take steps in accordance with law including registration of F.I.R. If the said respondent decides against registration of an F.I.R., the reasons therefor are to be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

6. With the above observations/directions, writ petition stands disposed of.

7. There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
