1. The petitioner seeks additional increment on account of his joining the upgraded school in the year 2023 in terms of the Memorandum No.

30-SE(B)/5B-1/2009 dated 10th February, 2010.

2. Withdrawal of the aforesaid Memorandum dated 10th February, 2010 by the subsequent order of the Joint Secretary (Secondary), School Education Department, Secondary Branch dated 22nd March, 2017 has been set aside by the Court on 15th January, 2024 in WPA 6217 of 2021.

3. It appears that the petitioner is yet to apply for release of the additional increment.

4. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that it will be open for the petitioner to apply before the concerned authority for grant of additional increment in terms of the memorandum dated 10th February, 2010.

5. A decision shall be taken by the authority in accordance with law and in line with the order passed by the Hon'ble Court at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken by the competent authority.

7. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of all relevant notifications and judgments of this Court at the time of forwarding the application for grant of additional increment.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
