...for the State respondent The parties represented through their respective learned counsels. The petitioners are the lawful operators plying their respective vehicles on the routes mainly Madhyamgram to Memary extended up to Monteswar and allied routes Maldanga to Memari under the permits issued by the Regional Transport Authority, Purba Burdwan. Being grievance of the petitioner is illegal and unauthorized plying of vehicle of the respondent no. 5 beyond the permitted route overlapping the bus route violating the conditions of the permit and the guidelines of the authority concerned. The petitioners already made a representation on 19.07.2024 before the respondent no. 4 but the same remained unanswered.

Having heard the parties and upon perusing the available records I direct the respondent no. 2 to consider the representation dated 19.07.2024 being annexure p-3 to the writ petition at page 21 within a period of 8 weeks and passed a reasoned order in accordance with law upon affording an opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties and shall communicate the order accordingly to the interested parties within a week thereafter.

The writ petition is disposed of without taking any exception to the merits of the case. However, it is needless to mention that the respondent no. 2 shall consider and arrive at a logical stand and take necessary steps forthwith, if required. Since, the Additional Government Pleader usually appears for the State, let his appearance be regularized along with other learned Counsels who have been engaged in this matter.
