However, by a resolution dated February 13, 2026, the Committee declined to grant promotion to the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid, no justification remains for proceeding further with the present contempt application.

A copy of the said resolution has been furnished to Mr. Kallol Basu, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

The petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the decision of the Screening Committee in accordance with law.

Let a copy of the resolution of the Screening Committee be retained on record.

With the aforesaid observations, CPAN 1575 of 2025 is disposed of.
