State has submitted a report which reflects that there is a family feud existing between the petitioners and the private respondents.

The report also reflects that Barasat PS Case No. 439 of 2025 has already been registered for investigation under Sections 85/316(2) of the BNS. The investigation of the said case is in progress.

The petitioners complain that they are unable to enter the residence because of the atrocities of the respondent no.4. - who is associated with the police department.

Be that as it may, in view of the family dispute existing between the petitioners - being the senior citizens and the private respondents, the police authorities would oversee that the petitioners'

peaceful enjoyment is not interfered with.

In case, there are disputes relating to the property which may come within the domain of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, it would be advisable that the petitioners approach the concerned Maintenance Tribunal. It would be for the Tribunal to pass necessary order upon the police authorities, which the police authorities would obey, respect and

implement.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 21697 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record. Copy of the report be handed over to the petitioners.
