Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner was grievously assaulted at Howrah Railway Station when he returned from Panskura by train. He made a complaint before the concerned police authorities, but no FIR has been registered.

Learned advocate for the State relies on the report and submits that the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed and an FIR has been lodged. The case is being investigated.

As the petitioner's prime grievance of nonregistration of FIR has already been redressed, no further order need be passed.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
