The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the matter.

This Court is informed that the charges were framed on September 06, 2018 and witness action is yet to commenc. In view of the age of the case, the learned Trial Court is directed to take the proceedings to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an application seeking permission to renew the passport of the petitioner is pending before the learned Trial Court.

The learned Trial Court shall also dispose of the said application in the meantime, in accordance with law. CRR No. 3756 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
