The instant revisional application has been filed for quashing of the Chakdah Police Station Case No.517 of 2010 dated 13th June, 2011 in connection with G.R. Case No.1282 of 2011 under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code. The complainant has filed an application under Section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code against the accused persons, who were the relatives of the husband of the complainant stating that the complainant and her husband were assaulted with deadly weapons like pistol and knife. There are contractions in the complaint as well as the statements made under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The allegations are general and omnibus in nature. There was no seized articles or documents with regard to the assault, as alleged.

Under such circumstances, if the proceedings before the learned trial court is allowed to continue will result in the abuse of process of law.

Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR No.3441 of 2011 is dismissed.

Copy of the order be sent to the Department as well as trial court for due compliance.
