Learned lawyer for the State submits that the petitioner assaulted his wife on the head. As a result, she succumbed to the injuries.

We have considered the materials on record. There are incriminating evidence connecting the petitioner with the crime. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner on merits.

With regard to delay, we direct the trial Court to conclude the trial at an early date preferably within 1 year from the next date of recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournments. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
