Learned Advocate General has informed that the term of the respondent no.8 i.e. Dr. Shibaji Pratim Basu as Vice Chancellor of the Vidyasagar University has expired on 05.01.2023 and he has joined as Professor thereafter and is no longer the Vice Chancellor of the University.
In view of the subsequent development, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw this petition.
Prayer is allowed.
