1. Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record.

2. Heard the learned counsels for the parties.

3. The prosecution case is that the petitioner befriended the minor son of the de-facto complainant and coaxed him to bring some gold ornaments from his house. Local witnesses bear testimony to such acquaintance. It is alleged that the petitioner made a videography of the first handing over of jewellery and blackmailed the petitioner to commit such acts and in the process took away huge amount of gold and other jewellery from the household of the de-facto complainant. As per directions, a notice was served to the petitioner. The petitioner complied with the same and also handed over his mobile phone to the Investigating Officer.

4. Considering the above and the other materials available in the case diary and the fact that the petitioner has cooperated with the investigation by meeting the I.O. and handing over his mobile phone, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not threaten or intimidate the witnesses. The petitioner shall meet the I.O once a fortnight till submission of report in final form.

6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
