1. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated due to property dispute.

2. The learned Counsel for the State and the de facto complainant have opposed the prayer. It is submitted on behalf of the State that the house of the de facto complainant was set on fire by the present petitioner as would reveal from the statement of the neighbours and the daughter of de facto complainant has stated that the petitioner had tried to outrage her modesty.

3. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the nature and extent of complicity of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged offence and having regard to the statement of the

daughter as well as the neighbours, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
