Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities. The prayers in the writ petition incorporates amongst others to take steps in respect of the information furnished on 11.06.2024.

Having considered that more than a year has passed since such representation was furnished and the police authorities have only taken steps by way of drawing up proceedings under Section 107/116 of Cr.P.C., I am of the view that in case the petitioner is facing the same inconvenience and is of the opinion that a cognizable offence has been made out, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Court under the relevant provisions of law.

Learned Magistrate would under such circumstances assess and ascertain regarding the genuinity of the allegations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper. With the aforesaid observations WPA 22274 of 2024 is disposed of.
