Avigya Dasgupta (Ganguly) -versusSri Kuntal Dasgupta Mr. Avijit Chakraborty ... for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the wife praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, 2nd Court at Barrackpore to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 1848 of 2020 along with the application under Order 6 Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure filed on September 12, 2023.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to issue notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite party or upon the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the learned trial judge. From the ordersheets appended to this application this Court finds that 16th April, 2025 was fixed for hearing of the application under Order 6 Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure. In the event the application under Order 6 Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure is still pending and the same is otherwise

ready for hearing, the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, 2nd Court at Barrackpore is requested to dispose of such application as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

After disposal of the said application as well as other interlocutory applications the learned trial judge shall make an endeavour to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 1848 of 2020 as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

With the above observations and directions, C.O. 3423 of 2025 stands disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
