He submits witnesses have not implicated him in the murder. He prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. The petitioner has criminal antecedents. The de facto complainant has identified petitioner as one of the assailants in the course of examination-inchief. In view of the aforesaid evidence on record and as trial is in progress, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
