Mr. Partha Pratim Das Ms. Eshita Dutta ...... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. It is contended he is in custody for 172 days.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. Victim housewife was tortured over demand of dowry. She died within 6 months of marriage. CDRs show telephonic conversation between the petitioner and the victim prior to her death. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected earlier on merits.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
