The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of the Bongaon Police Station in respect of a complaint as regards the threat of kidnap and intimidation by the private respondents.

The Bongaon Police Station has taken out proceedings under Section 107 of the Cr. P.C. in respect of a complaint dated February 6, 2022 and in respect of a further complaint dated September 29, 2022. FIR No. 1020 of 2022 dated September 29, 2022 has been registered.

It is ordered that the investigation into the said FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from date, if not already completed.

The Bongaon Police Station and/or S.P. North 24 Parganas shall consider appropriate protection to the petitioner and her daughter, in the event of any request being made in this regard.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

7.

The report of the Bongaon Police Station dated 29.09.2022 is kept with the record.

8.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
