In terms of the direction passed by this Court on November 21, 2022, Mr. Alam, learned Advocate for the State respondents files the report of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), South 24Parganas, Alipore, the respondent no.4 herein, the said report is taken on record.

The grievance of the petitioner is that his appointment as a Clerk of Dari Keoradangi Ananda Prasad Junior High School, District 24-Parganas (South) although was approved on January 01, 2014, but he was not paid salary from the said date of approval but from March, 2016.

The petitioner is praying disbursement of the arrear salary along with interest for the said period. It appears from the report of the respondent no.4 that arrear salary for the said period has been calculated and the concerned District Inspector of Schools under his Memo No. L.C.-575 dated November 22, has requested the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal, respondent no.2 herein, for allotment of fund.

W.P.22089 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to disburse the arrear salary of the petitioner for the said period along with interest @ 8 % per annum on and from January 01, 2014 till the date of payment.

It is expected that such payment shall be made within a period of four weeks from date of communication of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
