The petitioners contested the Panchayat General Election, 2023. They allege that the election in the concerned blocks were not free and fair.

From the documents annexed to the writ petition, it does not appear that complaint was lodged by the petitioners before the competent authority.

The election in question took place on 8th July, 2023 and result of the same was declared on 11th July, 2023. The writ petition was filed on 4th September, 2023. At such a delayed point of time, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously, on compliance of usual legal formalities.
