The petitioner alleges that the husband of the petitioner was assaulted by the private respondents on 7th of August, 2014. A complaint was lodged by the petitioner to the Officer-in-Charge, Salar Police Station by a letter dated 7th of August, 2024. The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that no steps have been taken by the police authorities pursuant to the said complaint. The learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the private respondents herein lodged a complaint against the petitioner being Salar Poice Station Case No. 238/2024 dated 6th of August, 2024 and after completion of investigation chargesheet has also been submitted. She further submits that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a

FIR has also been registered and investigation is in progress.

The learned advocate appearing for the State filed a report of the Officer-in-Charge of Salar Police Station dated 9th of September, 2024, which is taken on record. It appears from the said report that pursuant to the complaint made by the petitioner Salar P.S. Case No. 243/2024 has been registered and investigation is in progress. It also appears that there have been complaint and counter-complaint by the petitioner and the private respondents against each other. The FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner. Therefore, the police authorities have been taken steps pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner.

The investigating officer is directed to conclude the investigation expeditiously.

With the above observations and directions the writ petition is disposed of.

However, there will be no order as to costs.
