Mr. Bhaskar Chandra Manna ...for the petitioner Mr. Mohit Gupta Mr. Debashish Basak ...for the respondent nos. 1 to 4 The petitioner alleges that the property of the petitioner being Plot No. 485 within Mouza - Srigouri, JL NO. 216 under Nandigram Police Station in the district of Purba Medinipur, has been acquired for the purpose of Deshpran Nandigram Special Railway Project. The petitioner alleges that though the property of the petitioner has been utilized but compensation in respect thereof has not been paid to the petitioner till date. Petitioner submitted a representation dated May 1, 2025 before the Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur.

Learned advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 1 to 4 submits that the petitioner is not entitled to compensation.

Since a representation has been submitted by the petitioner, this writ petition stands disposed of without entering into the merits of the claims made

by the petitioner in the representation, and by directing the Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, South Eastern Railway, Kharagpur, being the 2nd respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated May 1, 2025 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and communicate the reasoned order to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order together with a copy of the representation dated May 1, 2025.
