Heard the parties.

The grievance of the petitioner is for correction of the Records of Right. The petitioner assails an order dated 31st July, 2018 passed by the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Khejuri appearing at Annexure P-16 to the writ petition.

Mr. Bandyopadhyay appears on behalf of the State respondents and submits that the instant writ petition is not maintainable in view of the provisions contained under Section 2(r) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act. I have considered the submissions of the parties and I am of the view, that the relief sought for by the petitioner are barred under the provisions of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act. The petitioner has an

adequate alternative statutory remedy which the petitioner ought to have availed by assailing the decision dated 31st July, 2018 passed by the BL & LRO, Khejuri. In view of the aforesaid, I am unable to entertain this writ petition. WPA 19917 of 2019 is dismissed as not being maintainable.

However, there will be no order as to costs.
