The Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation and others Mr. Maidul Islam Kayal ... for the petitioner.

The petitioner wants a direction on the CESC to lay underground cables which are necessary for the domestic electricity connection for the petitioner's premises. The petitioner complains that the private respondents are obstructing the CESC from laying the cables.

Learned counsel appearing for the private respondents submits that the petitioner and the private respondents are neighbours and that the CESC attempted to lay underground cables under the land of the private respondents whereas the petitioner's land is available for laying such underground cables. After hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, W.P.A.22096 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the private respondents to communicate their written objection to CESC within two weeks from

date. Upon receiving such objection, the CESC shall deal with the objection and also explore the land adjoining to the petitioner's house for laying of underground cables. The CESC shall also communicate its decision on the objection of the private respondents to the parties within a period of two weeks from the date of receiving such objection.
