Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected on merits in June 2022.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner had stabbed the victim. His bail prayer was rejected earlier on merits.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. Trial Court is directed to consider the issue of framing of charge at the earliest and in the event charge is framed, to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
