Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioner prays for mutation of her mother's name in respect of the plot in question. The matter pertains to the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955. In view of the provision laid down under Section 6 and 8 of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997, this Court has no jurisdiction to deal with the matters pertaining to the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, which is a specified Act under Section 2(r) of the Act of 1997.

Accordingly, the writ petition being WPA 21718 of 2023 is dismissed as not maintainable.

However, dismissal of the writ petition shall not preclude the petitioners from approaching the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievance.

However, there shall be no order as to costs.
