1. The petitioners in the instant case are the villagers of Hirapur under Ramnagar Police Station in the district of Purba Medinipur.

2. The main grievance is with regard to a Hindu crematorium situated on the ground, which has been occupied by few anti-socials and constructed illegal constructions thereby restraining the Hindu villagers not to use the said land for the purpose of crematorium. A mass petition has already been filed before the authority concerned on August 11, 2025 and on September 1, 2025 for the demolition of the illegal constructions on the said land.

3. Till date, the representations remain unanswered.

4. Let the respondent no.4 consider the said representation dated August 11, 2025 and on September 1, 2025 within a period of 60 days by passing a reasoned order upon affording an

opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties and communicate the same to the petitioners and the other interested parties accordingly.

5. The PIL being WPA(P) 388 of 2025 is disposed with without going into the merits of the case. It is needless to mention that if the respondent no.4 finds that there has been any illegal construction made on the recorded land specified as "samsan" shall take necessary steps forthwith in accordance with law.
