The petitioner alleges that the IndusInd bank after accepting an amount has not issued the accidental policy to the petitioner.

The learned Advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Inspector in-Charge, Tehatta Police Station dated 23rd September, 2024.

After going through the said report this court finds that the husband of the petitioner availed one Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy from Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company and as per the terms and conditions of the Insurance Policy, the deceased was insured only against accidental death or any injury sustained due to accident during the validity of the said Policy. It is not in dispute that the husband of the petitioner died on account of Covid Pandemic and, therefore, for

such reason the petitioner, being the wife of the said deceased, is not entitled to any amount on account of such policy. However, the petitioner has failed to make out any case of police inaction.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
