1. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of neighbours show that petitioner/husband subjected the victim to torture. As a result, she committed suicide within seven months of marriage.

2. In view of the principal role played by the petitioner in torture resulting in death of the housewife, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. CRM (DB) 2969 of 2024 is dismissed.
