The petitioner is aggrieved because his bills have not been paid. The petitioner claims to have supplied some material for the construction of a concrete road from Ratua Sabjipara Latib Sabji House to Waktiya Masjid House at Ratua Gram Panchayat. The allegation is that the materials were supplied in due time. Thereafter, the petitioner raised the bills. The bills were not released. Accordingly, the petitioner approached the authorities, seeking payment.
The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Block Development Officer who is the programme officer of Ratua-1 Development Block, to treat the writ petition as a representation and dispose of the same, in accordance with law.
The bills of the petitioner shall be verified and a decision shall be taken.
If there are no
discrepancies in the bills and no legal bar to release the payment, the amounts due shall be released expeditiously. If there are defects in the bills or the petitioner is found to be ineligible in any way, a reasoned order shall be passed and communicated. The entire exercise in either case, shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.
A copy of the writ petition along with the server copy of this order shall be served upon the said Block Development Officer for necessary compliance. This writ petition is disposed of.
However, there will be no order as to costs.
All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
