It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is the daughter-in-law of the victim lady and her prayer for bail was refused on 14th August, 2024 with a direction to the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial. However, as of date, the trial has not progressed substantially. She has been falsely implicated in this case.

The learned prosecutor raises objection and it is submitted that two more witnesses are yet to be examined which includes one vital witness.

Having heard the submission and careful consideration of the complaint of the witness coupled with the statement recorded under Section 164 as Section 181 as well as Section 183 of the BNSS of the various witnesses and the role ascribed by the present petitioner, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail considering the gravity of the offence.

However, as it can be seen that two more further witnesses are yet to be examined and the trial is on the verge of completion, this Court reiterates the direction given by the Division Bench to the learned Trial Court to spare no effort to expedite the trial and to come to a logical conclusion at an earliest without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. 5.

The parties are directed to communicate this order to the learned Trial Court.

The department is also directed to communicate this order to the learned Trial Court for intimation and taking necessary steps.

Hence, the prayer for bail stands rejected with the above direction.
