1. None appears on behalf of the State.

2. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application for a direction upon the respondent No.1 to provide the documents along with the application which was submitted for issuance of the Aadhaar Card bearing No. 512762361750 in the name of the respondent No.2, namely, Md. Siam Hossain @ Md Shams Sumon.

It is found from the record that the Special Superintendent of Police, CID, West Bengal by a communication dated December 17, 2024 requested the Director, UIDAI, West Bengal for providing certified copies of all documents submitted by the said Aadhaar Card holder while applying for issuance of Aadhaar Card. The Deputy Director, UIDAI, Regional Office Ranchi by a communication dated December 19, 2024 informed the Investigating Officer that only exception on the restriction on sharing of information is provided under Section 33 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 and the amendment thereto and any disclosure of information including identity information or authentication records can be made pursuant to the order of the

Court not inferior to that of the Judge of High Court. Accordingly, the petitioner has filed the present writ application.

4. Section 33 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 reads as follows:- "33. Disclosure of information in certain cases.- [(1) Nothing contained in sub-section

(2) or sub-section (5) of Section 28 or subsection (2) of Section 29 shall apply in respect of any disclosure of information, including identity information or authentication records, made pursuant to an order of a court not inferior to that of a [Judge of a High Court]:"

5. This Court finds that the grievance of the petitioner for providing particulars of the Aadhaar Card issued in favour of the respondent No.2 for the purpose of investigation. Accordingly, the respondent No.1 is directed to supply the information as requested by the Special Superintendent of Police, CID, West Bengal by a letter dated December 17, 2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

6. Accordingly, WPA 21807 of 2025 stands disposed of.

7. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

8. Urgent Photostat certified copy, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
