Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Ms. Baisali Basu, learned Advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about one year seven months and till date the charge has not been framed and the next date has been fixed for charge on September 16, 2023. Learned Advocate submits that the prosecution has relied upon 12 witnesses to prove his case. Having regard to the period of detention of the petitioner and the fact that charges are yet to be framed, the learned Trial Court would overcome the stage of consideration of charges on the next date fixed or within a fortnight thereafter. The learned Trial Court would henceforth fix schedule consisting of three days and fix such schedule once in every 45 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. In case any of the witness do not appear the learned Trial Court would communicate to the S.P. of the concerned District who would take steps for ensuring their appearance. The Public

Prosecutor conducting the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses. All stakeholders would cooperate with the learned Trial Court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3444 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
