Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that trial is on an advance stage. Date has been fixed for argument.

We have considered the materials on record.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage. However, keeping in mind the protracted period of detention suffered by the petitioners, we request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within three months from the next date fixed for argument without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
