Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the police authorities have not taken any effective steps excepting registration of an FIR pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the investigation is in progress. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation expeditiously.

If the petitioner is not satisfied with the further progress of investigation, it will be open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps before the concerned Court in accordance with law.

Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

In spite of service none appears for the private respondents.

With the above observation and direction this writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties on usual formalities (HIRANMAY BHATTACHARYYA, J.)
