The petitioner has come before this Court from an order dated 15th July, 2022 passed by the Superintendingt Engineer, Western Circle -II, PWD. By the said order, the petitioner's claim for the work executed for renovation of the correctional home at Bankura has been made subject to the approval of funds received from the "Higher Authority".

Learned counsel appearing for the parties submits that the "Higher Authority" is the respondent no. 2 who is the Deputy Secretary, Department of Correctional Administration, Government of West Bengal.

Since the issue of the petitioner's payment has been kept in abeyance until approval is granted by the respondent no. 2, WPA 22187 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 2 to expeditiously consider the claim of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner within a period of three weeks from date. A copy of such reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within four weeks from date.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
