The petitioner claims to be an occupier in respect of a property in question.

The petitioner alleges that the private respondents are creating disturbance in the peaceful possession of the petitioner in respect of an immovable property.

The learned Advocate appearing for the State files a report of the Inspect-in-Charge, Burdwan P.S. dated 26.09.2024 which is taken on record.

It appears from the said report that upon an enquiry the police authorities have found that there is a long standing dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents with regard to the ownership of the disputed land.

Since the dispute is between the private parties with regard to the possession of an immovable property, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. The petitioner is left free to approach the Civil Court for appropriate reliefs in accordance with law.

With the above observation and direction this writ petition stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties on usual formalities.
