Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today, is taken on record. The police report is also taken on record. 2.

The petitioners shall be supplied electricity by restoration of the electric connection within a month from date, from the existing meter board position, upon complying with other formalities.

The objection of the landlord is not relevant for adjudication of this matter, inasmuch as, the landlord has already availed of his remedy before the civil court by filing a suit for eviction. The connection to be supplied to the petitioners will be subject to the result of the suit and such connection shall not create any equity in favour of the petitioners.

Needless to mention, this direction does not in any way affect the status of the petitioners and shall not prejudice the civil suit. The police authorities shall

render assistance as and when required by the CESC authorities.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. 6.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
