1. Status report filed by the State in terms of our order dated November 18, 2024, be kept with the records.

2. From the report we find that the prosecution has already examined six out of 19 charge-sheet named witnesses. They intend to examine three more witnesses. It is also stated in the report that a maximum of two months from the next date fixed i.e., January 6, 2025, would be taken for completing the trial. The report also indicates several criminal antecedents of the petitioner.

3. Since the trial is on the verge of conclusion and there are prima facie incriminating evidence against this petitioner, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage. The bail prayer is rejected.

4. The application being CRM (DB) 2993 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.

5. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail in the event the trial does not conclude within two months from the next date fixed i.e., January 6, 2025.

6. Parties to communicate this order to the learned Trial Court immediately.
