Petitioner is in custody for 48 days. He prays for bail. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the minor child. She implicates the petitioner in the offence.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
