The instant writ petition arises out of a proceeding pending before the Learned Trial Court being C.R.160/17, Reg. 173/17, CNR No: WBEM0C000435-2017. 2.

Mr. Satinath Chattoraj, Inspector-in-Charge, Madhyamgram Police Station is personally present in Court.

It has been submitted that the accused person has been arrested, though, in connection with a separate case.

It has been brought to the notice of this Court that as many as thirteen warrants of arrest are pending execution against the accused person. 5.

It appears from records that the order was passed by this Court way back on 15th June, 2022 to take steps for execution of the warrant of arrest but, for reasons best known, the said person was not arrested.

Immediately after direction was passed by the Court on 10th March, 2025 for personal appearance of the Officerin-Charge, Madhyamgram Police Station, the accused was arrested on 12th March, 2025. The police appear to have acted only after direction of personal appearance was passed by the Court.

The police shall take steps strictly in accordance with law to deal with the accused person. 7.

As the relief sought for by the petitioner has been allowed, nothing further remains to be decided in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Madhyamgram Police Station dated 16th March, 2025 is taken on record.
