The writ petitioner complains that the private respondent/daughter-in-law is inflicting torture upon him. The petitioner has complained to the NTS Police Station, Asansol-Durgapur Police but in vain. It appears that the private respondent/daughter-in-law has been divorced by the son of the petitioner. There is no clear evidence, however, before this Court to that effect. The NTS Police Station has registered FIR No. 161 of 2022 dated 23.09.2022 against the daughter-inlaw. The daughter-in-law has also instituted proceedings under the D. V. Act.

Counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that the said proceeding has been dismissed for default. Be that as it may, this Court directs the O. C., N.T.S. Police Station to issue sufficient warnings to the private respondent/daughter-in-law against disturbing the petitioner.

In the event of any further complaint from the petitioner against the daughter-in-law, due enquiry shall

be made and coercive measures may be taken against the daughter-in-law.

Let a copy of this order be served to the daughter-in-law by the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
