Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a septuagenarian who is unable to enter his residence because of the act and action of the respondent no.6 and to that effect, has advanced a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Diamond Harbour Police District, but till date no steps have been taken. The property of the petitioner is situated within the jurisdiction of Budge Budge Police Station.

In view of the report so submitted and that a family feud is existing, if the petitioner seeks assistance from the local police station for escorting him to his residence, proper assistance be provided by the concerned police station. To that effect, 48 hours ahead, petitioner would inform the concerned police station.

A lady police personnel be deployed after the petitioner enters his residence for a period of thirty days. Every alternate day, the lady police personnel will visit the residence to ascertain as to whether the petitioner has been subjected to any harassment. In case situation blows out of proportion, information be furnished to Inspectorin-Charge, Budge Budge Police Station who will take steps in accordance with law.

Within the aforesaid thirty days, petitioner will approach the Maintenance Tribunal under the provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

In case any direction is passed by the Tribunal, the Inspector-in-Charge, Budge Budge Police Station would respect, obey and implement the order.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 22010 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
