The petitioner is aggrieved that her application dated July 15, 2019 for grant of higher pay scale is yet to be considered by the respondent District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Paschim Bardhaman (hereinafter referred to "D.I.").

The petitioner says that he has joined in the school namely Chaktentul Ramkrishna High School as an Assistant Teacher qualified with B.A. (Bengali) (Pass), with effect from February 18, 2003.

She says that before joining, she has concluded her Master's Degree Course in Bengali.

She says further that at the time of applying for the post, her results were not published but before her joining the results of Master's Degree Course in Bengali was published and she was duly qualified in the same.

She has further stated that she imparts teaching in Class X and XI and also is an examiner of Bengali in Madhyamik examinations.

Thus, according to the writ petitioner, she is entitled to be granted with the post-graduate scale of pay,

commensurate to her higher qualification of Master's Degree.

Mr. Manuwar Ali, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks that the petitioner's application as above, be disposed of as expeditiously as possible.

Considering the submissions and the prayer made by the writ petitioner, it is directed that the respondent District Inspector of Schools, Secondary Education, Paschim Bardhaman/respondent no. 3, considers and disposes of the petitioner's application and prayer by dint of her letter dated July 15, 2019 and dispose it of by dint of a reasoned order.

10. In doing so, the respondent shall afford opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and dispose of the prayer of the petitioner maximum within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order.

11. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition being WPA No. 20188 of 2019 is disposed of.

12. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents including the private respondents.

13. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
