Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities of Pandua Police Station. To that effect, a representation was sent on 29.07.2024. Petitioner's main grievance is relating to the interference at the behest of the private respondent for enjoying uninterrupted possession.

Learned advocate for the private respondent submits that a civil suit being Title Suit No. 540 of 2024 is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 2nd Court, Hooghly wherein the learned Magistrate was pleased to restrain the petitioner from dispossessing the private respondent/tenant.

Having considered that the dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents is a landlord-tenant dispute, I am of the view that as the civil court is already in seisin of the issue, the petitioner would ventilate his grievance before the civil court. So far as the police authorities are concerned, they would only ensure that there is no violation of law and order.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 22638 of 2024 is disposed of.
