Mukherjee Mr. Imran Ali Ms. Debjani Sahu ... for the State The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Debjani Sahu, ld. Advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. Her appearance may be regularised by the concerned authority. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is in custody for one year and nine months. In spite of charge being framed on 23rd of August, 2022, till date, not a single witness has been examined.

It has been submitted that the prosecution in order to prove its case has relied upon twelve witnesses. The ld. Trial Court on and from the next date is directed to fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every 45 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

If any witness is reluctant to appear then the concerned Superintendent of Police should be communicated so that the appearance of the witnesses may be ensured. The concerned Public Prosecutor conducting the case will produce the materials, exhibits and documents for examination of the witnesses. All stakeholder would cooperate with the ld. Trial Court so that the trial can be concluded at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3484 of 2023 of disposed of.
